Term 1 in Alison’s Class
What a great Term 1 it has been so far in Peregrine Falcons (Alison’s Class). The Cultural Studies project about the Earth and natural disasters has provided opportunities for a wide variety of skills to be learnt and practiced. Students have engaged in research, practical experiments and designing a web site. Learning has included lots of group work to help in getting to know each other at the start of the year.
I have been very impressed by the persistence students have shown in their learning. In Literacy, they have been developing skills in narrative writing. Stories are showing growth over the term and the students are enjoying exploring a variety of figurative language in their work.
We have had lots of fun at the beach in Aquatics and I’ve been pleased to see the students using good listening skills and following instructions well in our Tennis lessons.
We’ve still a few weeks to go until the end of term, but lots to cover. Italian day is on Friday Week 10 and our class needs to wear red as their part of the Italian flag.
