Karen and Adele’s Cycle One Class
Term 3 saw some really exciting learning for our class. Some focus areas included our Botany unit of inquiry, where we planted seeds, learned about and tended to the needs of plants, watched and recorded growth (and sometimes lack of). We learned about the parts of plants and their function, as well as the foods and uses that come from various parts of plants. We looked at lots of grammar, with a focus on verbs, nouns and adjectives, which helped us learn more about sentence structure, and how to write more interesting sentences. Some children worked with a miniature environment (The Farm) to support their understanding, and loved the hands-on nature of learning this provided. Term 4 already looks to be super busy, with Zoology, Swimming Week and Sports Day just some of the many experiences planned!
