This program is conducted by Michelle Young and Lea Simmons. Parents are usually able to quickly catch up with teachers at drop off or pick up time. However, if you require a more formal appointment, please arrange a mutually convenient time. Teachers can be contacted by phoning the school or alternatively you may wish to email them.
Their email address is michelle@southernmontessori.sa.edu.au or lea@southernmontessori.sa.edu.au. Our teachers will endeavour to respond to you as soon as possible during classroom breaks. Thank you.
Michelle and Lea teach a Cycle 3 class. Michelle teaches on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday while Lea teaches on Wednesdays. Raelene is a classroom assistant in their class. Her primary role is to provide extra support to allow Michelle and Lea to work with children in small groups and meet their individual needs.
Our Cycle 3 teachers work closely together to plan and implement the curriculum and ensure that the children’s experiences are consistent in both classes. Our Cycle 3 classes are multi-age, allowing each child the opportunity to learn from others and the flexibility to develop, both socially and intellectually, at their own pace. Children usually stay with the same teacher for three years, developing strong teacher-student relationships and a deep understanding by the teacher of individual student needs and abilities.
We look forward to working with you this year.
