End of Term Round Up
Dear Community members
The mid-year break is upon us and it is time to look backwards and forwards. Semester 1 reports come home today and this is a great opportunity to open some dialogue, affirm achievements and talk about future goals. Please try to focus on the effort. Sustained effort usually bears good fruits.
Thanks to Ros and her team of helpers for the fun night at Inflatable World last Friday.
Thanks to the Children’s Council for putting on the Bake Sale last week.
Thanks to our P&F for organising today’s Casual Day and BBQ – this might be a good time to remind parents that orders need to be placed early. Sausages etc are purchased beforehand so we don’t have enough to be able to cater for last minute orders
Thanks to our amazing Reception students and their teachers, and especially to Amelia for putting on last week’s performance, There’s a Sunflower in my Supper. The audience were highly entertained.
Our fingers are crossed that the Appeal on 2nd July in relation to our Middle School venture will be dismissed. Two building companies are vying to be the supplier of our new classrooms. Plans and costings are being considered and a decision is pending. A Policy and a Handbook detailing the nature of our partnership with Kalyra have been drafted and various committees are viewing these.
Last night a small but creative group of people met to take the next step in the development of our new Strategic Plan. We are starting to get to the ‘pointy end’ of this process and look forward to engaging you more during Term 3.
Have an enjoyable time with the children home, Heather & Noel.
